7-Eleven Clerk Stabbed By Customer During Altercation In Northwest DC: Police

Police say that a 7-Eleven employee in northwest DC is expected to survive after he was stabbed during an altercation with a customer early on Thursday morning.

Shortly before 5 a.m. on Thursday, April 27, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department were called to the 900 block of 17th Street NW to investigate a reported stabbing.

The initial investigation determined that the incident happened when the store clerk approached a customer as he was leaving the store. 

It is alleged that the man was shoplifting items from 7-Eleven when he was encountered by the employee.

The employee was transported to an area hospital for treatment and evaluation of his stab wound, though he is expected to recover, according to officials.
